Stuttgart is the capital of Baden-Wurttemberg in southern Germany. It ranks sixth in the largest city in the country. The city was founded in the 10th century and its named is the modern version of Stutengarten. It is famous for its rich automotive industry which houses both the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche headquarters.
Stuttgart is home to two technical museums of two of the largest automotive giants - Mercedes Benz and Porsche. The museums are a must-see as they contain astonishing architecture that displays the best in both car brands. The city also has a state gallery, the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, a contemporary arts museum, the Kunstgebäude or the Art Building and a modern art museum, the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart.
The city houses a few classical buildings that were not destroyed during the World War II, several towers, scenic outlooks, squares, parks, gardens and a number of churches with impressive architecture. There are also a variety of theaters that shows concerts and various events. There are also seasonal festivals such as the Huge Christmas Market held every December, a huge wine festival and the Festival of Animated Film.
