
Sunnyvale is a city in the Santa Clara County in California, a state in the United States of America. Sunnyvale is one of the major cities that are part of the Silicon Valley. It is a city in the San Francisco Bay Area and was ranked as the fifth safest city in the country in its category for the year 2004.
Sunnyvale is one of the cities in the United States of America to exercise a unified Department of Public Safety where all employees are trained as police officers, firefighters and EMTs. This was implemented in order to assure that the personnel will be able to respond in an emergency that requires any of the three roles.
Arcade games and miniature golf can be found in the city. Sunnyvale also houses two public golf courses. There are many things to do in Sunnyvale including shopping at the Farmer's market on Murphy Street on Saturday mornings, attending the annual Sunnyvale Art and Wine Festival, touring the Yahoo! Headquarters, visiting the Hendy Iron works museum and visiting the Shoreline Park located in Mountain View.
