The City of Surrey is one of the largest cities in Canada. It ranked as the 12th largest in Canada, and the 2nd in the whole of British Columbia. Surrey is strategically located in the US and is bordered by the Fraser River to the North. It is more popularly known as part of the Gateway to the Pacific, where there are long stretches of pristine beaches coupled with rich urban forests.

The whole city is backed up with a diverse ecology with approximately 60,000 acres of parkland. This is probably the reason why there are a variety of birdlife and fauna in the area.
