Tacoma is a city that is mid-sized and urban and is located in the county seat of Pierce County in Washington, United States. Tacoma is considered as the second largest city in the area and the third largest city in the state of Washington. It derived its name after the nearby Mount Rainier which was originally referred to as Mount Tahoma or Mount Tacoma. It is also known as the city of Destiny.

Tacoma has been regarded as one of the most livable areas in the United States and was listed as the 19th most walkable and safest city in the country.

Tacoma is home to the Point Defiance Park which is one of the largest urban parks in the United States. Some of the park's attractions include the Owen beach, Fort Nisqually, Camp Six and the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium which are easily accessibly by the Scenic Five Mile Drive. Another park in the area is the Wapato Park which contains walking trails that circles a beautiful lake.
