Taiwan is an island nation in East Asia. It is a nation located off the cost of China and is north of the Philippines and southwest of Okinawa, Japan. Taiwan is considered as one of the places in the world with the largest population density. Aside from its crowded urban areas, Taiwan is also famous for its lush forests and steep mountains.

The nation contains many large cities and towns with Taipei as its center of culture and commerce. Taipei is also the location of Taiperi 101, the world's second tallest building. Most people may think of the nation as a small island filled with crowds and contains many electronic factories. But unknown to most people, Taiwan also has a number of great beaches, high mountain ranges and national parks, with some having hot springs.

Some of these include the Alishan, a cluster of forests with beautiful sunrises, the Kenting National Park that houses beautiful beaches, the Shei-pa National park with its great hiking trails and the Sun Moon Lake that is famous for its clear water and beautiful mountain backdrop.
