About Vancouver
Vancouver City is home to one of the largest seaports in British Columbia, Canada. It has constantly been named as one of the most livable cities in the world as well as the cleanest and also one of the most expensive. In North America, Vancouver has one of the most expensive real estate rates; it comes in second after the US states of Los Angeles. It also follows that state as well as New York in terms of its film and television industry earning it the nickname 'Hollywood North'.

The service and tourism industry of Vancouver has steadily grown over the years. It has replaced traditional economy drivers like forestry, fishing, and mining. Those industries, however, are still prominent throughout the rest of British Columbia and Canada. The city of Vancouver is known of its modern architecture that includes the Harbor Center, Robson Square, and the Vancouver Law Courts.

Located on the Pacific Rim, Vancouver has Canada's largest seaport. It does over C$43 Billion in trade with 90 countries around the world. The port also contributes $4 billion to the country's GDP. In 2010, Vancouver will host the Winter Olympics as well as the Paralympics. It will be held in the city as well as in the mountain town of Whistler that lies 125km north of the city.
