Weehawken is a town in the Hudson County, in New Jersey, United Sates. It is part of the New York Metropolitan area, is situated on the western shore of the Hudson River and is across the Midtown Manhattan. Weehawken is the home of the western terminus of the Lincoln tunnel.
Weehawken is home to many historic, engineering and aesthetic sites. Some of its famous points of interest include the Hamilton Park which are used by tourists and is a venue for fashion shows, wedding parties and settings for photographs. The King's Bluff is a historic district that is the home of an array of architectural styles. The Lincoln Tunnel Toll Plaza is also located in Weehawken as is designed in Art Deco style.
The town is also home to the Hackensack Number Two which is a reservoir that gets its water from the Hudson River and was previously a part of the Hudson water system. The Horseshoe is also found in Weehawken. It is a hairpin street that leads to the Hackensack Plank Road, which is an early colonial thoroughfare.
