West Yellowstone is a town located in the Gallatin County of Montana and is quite known for its location adjacent to the Yellowstone National Park. The climate in the area is usually cold with mild summers and very cold winters. Because of its proximity to the world's first national park, the town is ideal for tourists and campers; it is the ideal vacation destination.

Although usually open the whole year round, the park is best experienced in spring where the plants awaken and baby animals are sighted. However, summer is still the peak season in the national park so that during these months the town, West Yellowstone, becomes alive with thousands of visitors each day. However, for the rest of the year, the town only comprises of a small population of local inhabitants.

Although the weather is usually unpredictable in West Yellowstone, visitors are often in for a good adventure in the area. Transportation can be in the form of shuttle service, bus, taxi, or automobile. An airport also services the area.
