Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland both by population and land area. It is also the financial hub of Switzerland and houses the headquarters of many large international companies as well and the stock exchange of these companies.
The most fascinating points of interests in Zurich are located in the old town around the lakefront and the river. Some of these sites include the Grossmünster, a church that symbolizes the reformed Zurich. It also houses the biggest history museum in Switzerland, the Landes Museum where various traditions of Switzerland can be explored and learned. Switzerland is also the home of other beautiful sites such as the Lake Promenade, the Chinese Garden, the le Corbusier House, the Lindenhof and the Niederhof.
The cultural community of Zurich is very much alive as evident in Rote Fabrik, which is a previous silk factored converted to a center of culture and art in the 80's. The Rote Fabrik holds a number of events ranging from film, to music and theater. The Opernhause is also a primary opera house in Zurich that shows productions of world-renowned operas.
